India’s GDP grows 7.8% in Q1 of FY 2026-27
- The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) released the quarterly GDP estimates for the first quarter (April–June) of FY 2026-27 on 31 August 2026.
- Real GDP (at constant prices) is estimated at ₹81.36 lakh crore, against ₹75.46 lakh crore in Q1 of FY 2025-26 – a growth of 7.8%.
- Nominal GDP (at current prices) is estimated at ₹88.27 lakh crore, a growth of 10.3%.
- Real Gross Value Added (GVA) stood at ₹73.82 lakh crore, registering 8.2% growth.
- Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF) recorded double-digit growth of 11.9% at constant prices.
- The figure is above the Reserve Bank of India’s projection of about 7% for the quarter.
