    • Two sites of over 4,400-year-old Harappan civilisation in Bhiwani district declared as protected monuments and archaeological sites.

    • Sites located in neighbouring villages: Tighrana and Mitathal.

  • Mitathal Site

    • Excavations in 1968 revealed Copper-Bronze Age culture (3rd–2nd millennia BCE) of the Indo-Gangetic divide.

    • Site first came to light in 1913 with the discovery of Samudra Gupta coins.

    • From 1965–1968, beads and copper implements yielding proto-historic material were found.

    • Findings show Harappan tradition in town planning, architecture, arts, and crafts.

    • Pottery: well-burnt sturdy red ware painted in black with pipal leaf, fish scale, and geometric designs.

    • Antiquities include beads, bangles, terracotta, stone, shell, copper, ivory, and bone objects.

  • Tighrana Site

    • Post-Harappan remains provide insight into the evolution and continuity of human settlement.

    • First inhabited around 2400 BCE by Chalcolithic agricultural communities (Sothians).

    • Early settlements in Chang, Mitathal, Tighrana were small mud-brick houses with thatched roofs; some possibly fortified.

    • Each settlement comprised 50–100 houses.

    • Occupations: agriculture, cattle domestication (cows, bulls, goats).

    • Pottery: wheel-made, painted in bichrome (black-and-white designs).

    • Tools: copper, bronze, and stone implements found in large numbers.
