The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has released its official recruitment notification for Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO) and Assistant Engineers (AE) in 2025. A total of 841 vacancies are available.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025):

    • Generalist & most Specialist posts (CA, Actuarial, Insurance): 21–30 years

    • AAO (Legal) & CA Specialist: 21–32 years

  • Educational Qualifications:

    • AAO (Generalist): Bachelor’s degree (any discipline)

    • AAO (CA): CA qualification + required articleship (with membership number)

    • AAO (CS): Qualified Member of ICSI

    • AAO (Actuarial): Passed at least six papers from Institute of Actuaries of India / UK

    • AAO (Insurance Specialist): Graduation + fellowship in Life Insurance + minimum 5 years’ experience in a regulated insurance company

    • AAO (Legal): Bachelor of Law with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD)

    • AE (Civil/Electrical): B.Tech/B.E. in relevant discipline + minimum 3 years’ experience in multi-storey building infrastructure projects

  • Application Fee:

    • ₹700 + transaction charges + GST for general category

    • ₹85 + transaction charges + GST for SC/ST/PwBD candidates


Selection Process & Salary

  • Selection Stages:

    1. Preliminary Examination (Phase I) — qualifying only; scores not counted in final selection

    2. Main Examination (Phase II) — scores considered

    3. Interview

    4. Pre-recruitment Medical Examination

  • Salary:

    • Basic pay approximately ₹88,635/month, with total emoluments reaching up to ~₹1,26,000/month in Class 'A' cities
